Ekansh's POV

I have been in Jaipur for over a week now. Being a COO is hard but I'm the eldest son and I have to take care of everything. And I'm ready to do this for my family.

Maan Enterprises is opening its new branch In Rajasthan, Jaipur. My father has asked me to supervise this project alongside Chachu. Though Chachu will be managing most of the work, being the COO of this company, it is my duty as well to check in from time to time.

I was on a call with my father, informing him about the work which has been done until now and what more is left. Suddenly I heard some shouting from outside my cabin. I cut the call after updating him about everything and headed outside to see what the chaos was all about. I saw a girl wearing formals shouting at our employee. At first, I thought she was of our company but she did not have the ID card.

"What's going on over here?" I asked my voice calm but with a subtle hint of warning.

The man opened his mouth, but before he could say something, the girl said, "An Employee of this company is harassing this young woman but not one person has the guts to stand up to him and tell him that he's wrong" her voice filled with anger but carrying a truth in it.

"Is this true?" I asked the man in front of me, my eyes glared right through his soul. Though I knew this girl was telling the truth, I didn't want to make any assumptions based on just what I heard.

The man looked here and there nervously and rubbed his palm on the back of his neck. "Uhmm Sir, she is lying to you don't believe her! I just told Ria to go get the files from my office! That's it. No other work. I just told her to do this." he said while panicking lightly.

I looked at Ria who was standing with her head down tears dripping down her eyes. Suddenly my gaze focused on the ID Card around her neck.

"Miss Ria, give me your ID Card" I told her keeping my voice as calm as I could but still I couldn't help but notice her shoulders shaking after hearing my voice. I can't help my voice and if this is how scared she is after hearing my voice, she should learn to control herself.

Slowly but steadily Ria took out her ID Card and handed it over to me. I took her ID Card and noticed the girl who was shouting now standing besides Ria and supporting her.

I saw Ria's ID Card, she was an intern at our company. I returned it back to her and turned towards the man while putting my hands in my pocket and said,
"You know that Ria is an intern right?"

"Yes?" He answered though his response sounded more like a question.

"Then you probably also know what interns do in a company?"

The man's ears had turned pink. He had no words for my question and didn't even attempt to answer them.

"I asked you something. And I don't like to repeat myself, Mr..."
I looked towards the girl who was consoling Ria while also listening attentively to our conversation.

"Sharma" she replied meeting my gaze. I nodded at her, my way of acknowledgement and again looked at Mr. Sharma.

"I'm sorry sir" Sharma replied while looking downwards.

"Do you even know what you are sorry for? Even if she is an intern, you have no rights to order her around and asking her to bring files from your office, even though I know that's not the matter, but Ria is the company's intern. She is here to learn something when she walks inside this building and you have no rights to use her as your personal errand girl. Do you understand Mr. Sharma?" I replied my voice still calm not wavering but carrying that hint of dominance and warning.

Mr. Sharma nodded while looking downwards his head held down low in embarrassment.

"I need words Mr. Sharma"

"Yes sir I'll keep that in mind" he said nodding

"You're fired. I don't keep such employees in my company who don't know how to behave and respect and others. You have until one week to empty your office. I should not see you inside my company after that." I said and called my secretary, asking him to prepare the necessary documents.

"Thank you so much sir. I think you are the COO? Very glad to meet you" the girl who was shouting at Sharma now talking in such a calm voice. I gave her glance and and went away from there. I don't have time to spend on meeting random girls. Though I'm grateful for her as she got this Sharma fired but I don't want to talk to her again.

I went to my cabin and asked my secretary to book me a flight back to Delhi. It's time I started attending my college.
